Areas of Focus

Paula supports clients through a wide range of life experiences and emotional landscapes. Her approach centres on presence, empathy, and practical insight, offering steady guidance through both everyday challenges and profound life transitions.

  • Help individuals, couples, and families build healthy relationships, strengthen communication, and address attachment wounds. Support parents and caregivers in navigating challenges and fostering positive connections with their children.

  • Provide trauma-informed support for those healing from wounds, navigating grief and loss, or coping with emotional overwhelm. Help clients build emotional resilience, develop regulation tools, and find meaning, presence, and healing through life’s most challenging moments.

  • Assist those experiencing anxiety, depression, or chronic stress by exploring root causes and offering practical strategies to restore balance, clarity, and well-being. Support clients in cultivating greater peace and adaptability in everyday life.

  • Offer compassionate, non-judgmental support for individuals facing substance use challenges. Guide clients through early awareness, recovery, and healing of underlying emotional or relational patterns.

  • Promote mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness through integrative approaches such as mindfulness, meditation, and self-care. Encourage sustainable habits that support whole-person health.

  • Provide specialized counselling for individuals in high-demand roles. Help them manage trauma, burnout, and the emotional impact of caregiving or crisis-oriented work.

  • Offer compassionate, grounded support for individuals and families navigating serious illness, dying, or grief. Create space for emotional processing, meaningful conversations, and connection to what matters most during this sacred time.

My task is to witness, honour, bring to light the gifts people bring with them, and help them shed what is no longer serving them on this journey.

Approaches & Tools

Drawing from an integrative toolkit, Paula weaves together evidence-based therapies and holistic practices to meet each client’s distinct needs. Her flexible, body-aware approach ensures the process is both effective and aligned with the individual’s way of healing.

  • Incorporate neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, and body-based techniques to help clients understand and regulate their nervous system. Support emotional resilience, trauma reprocessing, and balance by integrating somatic awareness, nervous system education, and state-shifting tools.

  • Draw on evidence-based methods such as Trauma-Focused CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment-Based Therapy to heal emotional wounds, reframe core beliefs, integrate inner parts, and improve relationships with self and others.

  • Support individuals and couples in healing relational patterns, strengthening communication, and fostering mutual understanding. Draw on attachment theory and Adlerian insights to navigate interpersonal dynamics and intergenerational influences.

  • Use practices like mindfulness, Qi Gong, and Focusing-Oriented Therapy to deepen awareness of bodily sensations, support energy flow, release tension, and access the body’s wisdom. These approaches cultivate emotional insight, presence, and holistic integration.

  • Incorporate the healing power of nature through outdoor sessions, ecotherapy, and earth-based rituals to foster connection, clarity, and a deep sense of belonging.
